Simply Southern I Do's

A few weeks ago my sister got married and the wedding was a beautiful, country sheek affair, infused with a southern theme.  It was set at the Museum of the Appalachia in the Smokey Mountains, and I can say it was absolutely a night to remember.  She and her handsome hubby were married outside in the fields and then we had one heck of a hoedown inside the barn.  Here's a few pictures and ideas from the perfect evening that should get your boots kickin'!

Beautifully lit mason jars lined the dance floor.

 Centerpieces with country sheek flair.

 The guest book table.

Even babies got in on the theme!

Party favors doubled as drink glasses for the evening.

The bar was adorned with hanging, candlelit lanterns.

I can't think of better toasting glasses for this soiree!

The groom reels in the bride.....with jewelry of course!

This groom's cake was quite the catch!

What do you think he was up to?

The bride and other boot scooters.

My other sister and fellow bridesmaid.  Cowboy boots were a requirement for this evening!

The happy couple riding off into the sunset....in a truck bed of course!

So what do you think of the Southern wedding?

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your comment earlier! I like this post, because my SIL also had a country theme wedding and had mason jars all over and a daisy cake and daisy everything, so this brought back some memories! Nice post dear and I'm a new follower now! Keep in touch! xx Pip

  11. Such an awesome wedding party. The lit mason jars look just stunning. Want to try some of these ideas for my wedding at Chicago event venues. Have hired wedding planners too for the day. Hope will be able to make this day a grand one.
